Job Description
Job Title -  Network Administrator
Reports To  - CEO
Division  - Networks & Installations

Summary
Install, set up and configure wireless Access Points/CPEs. Perform a variety of maintenance, evaluation, installation and training tasks to ensure LAN & WLAN meets company and user requirements.
Person Specifications
• Not older than 28 years.  • Male/Female  • Exceptional team build & management abilities  • Effective communication & Presentation Skills  • Good interpersonal relationship skills.
Knowledge/Skills Specifications
• Minimum HND qualification in a related discipline  • Minimum 2 years relevant work experience in similar capacity  • Certifications i.e. CCNA, MCSE, CCNP, MCP will be an added advantage.  • Knowledge of wireless networks management, installation and
troubleshooting.  • Ability to install, configure and maintain networks and related hardware and software.  • Skills in organising resources and establishing priorities.  • Ability to learn and support new systems and applications  • A deep understanding of LAN & WLAN will constitute further advantage.
Primary Responsibilities
• Administer network hardware using one or more TCP/IP or non TCP/IP networking protocols, including VSAT, Modem, Servers as well as power back-up systems.  • Evaluate and recommend purchase of computers, network hardware,  peripheral equipments and software. • Determine network coverage and signal strength to aid customer  acquisition.  • Identify potential base station locations, base station equipments and resources.  • Perform and/or oversee base station deployment and maintenance and management.
• Investigate user problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, test and implement solutions. • Install, configure and maintain Ethernet networks, network cabling and other related equipments and systems.  • Perform and/or oversee software and application development, installations and upgrades.  • Troubleshoot networks, systems and applications to identify and  correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.  • Identify utilization patterns and their effect on operations and  performance  xpectations.
• Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network.  • Document network problems and resolutions for future reference.
Additional Responsibilities
• Assist personnel of other departments as a computer resource
• Provide on-the-job training to new department staff members.
